Lifestyle Tips

Human footprint.png
  • Carpool: reduces gas and energy waste that is expelled into the atmosphere

  • Reduce the use of plastic: plastic bags are made with oil so every time you use plastic bags at the grocery stop you use oil. Try a reusable tote bag or cloth bag

  • Quit water bottles: instead, use metallic or reusable containers

  • Use renewable energy: instead of having subsidized oil energy convert to renewable, possibly solar, energy

  • Buy organic fruit and vegetables: most freshly grown products are grown using fertilizers and pesticides, which use more oil than you think

  • Plant a garden: grass is not good for the environment because you have to cut t down; less grass space means less amount of using a lawnmower

  • Use natural sent perfumes: some perfumes are made using petrochemicals which are bad for you and the environment. Instead, buy the ones that are made with natural scents and essential oils.

  • Use wood instead of plastic: wood is a natural material, while plastic is made from oils

  • Use less hair-dye: use an alternative to store bought hair color like henna, which is a plant based hair dye
