Birds And Mammals
Many feathered birds suffer from oil pollution, specifically those who rest on the surface of the ocean. When the oil is first dispersed it clings to their feathers and can cause extensive damage like, the inability to fly anymore. They become trapped and helpless against something that we cause.

Oil is a heavily concentrated and dense substance that can easily sink to the ocean floor. While birds are usually the most affected, many other marine mammals are put in danger because of the toxin that is released. Many that are affected are turtles, fishes, shellfish and other bottom-dwelling organisms.

Habitats
Habitats are a crucial aspect to wildlife that many people overlook. Unless it is placed right in front of our eyes, like an oil-covered beach, it is often forgotten.

Oil is a heavily concentrated and dense substance that if not cleaned up quickly, can float to the bottom of the sea. Oil and penetrate even the deeps and shallow places like the tidal flats, where it can stay for a long period of time without being dispersed. It can kill once vibrant and lively ecosystems, like the coral reefs and the mangrove forests.
